Isolation crane introduction

Isolation crane is a double girder overhead crane with the insulation crane hook. It a kind of material handling equipment used to lift and transport loads in charged environment, such as the plants where electrolyse non-ferrous metals, such as magnesium, aluminum. Isolation crane is a heavy duty overhead with double brake in the hoisting for ensuring safety. The lifting capacity of the isolation crane is 5 to 50 tons and the working class is A6. The specific parameters of the overhead crane is as follow:

Components of isolation crane

Isolation crane is consisted of four main parts, the box-type bridge structure, crane travelling mechanism, trolley, electric parts, and others, etc.

Application of isolation crane

Isolation crane is used for material handling and lifting, equipment installation and maintenance in electrolysis nonferrous plants for smelting aluminum, magnesium, lead, zinc and others, etc.

Features of isolation crane

1. Insulation measures of isolation cranes

In order to prevent the crane and operator from danger of current to ensure their safety, there are three insulated devices equipped on the isolation crane, which are placed between:

• the hook and pulley,
• lifting mechanism and the trolley frame,
• trolley frame and crane.

2. Bridge frame

As the main force component of isolation, the bridge frame is mainly consisted of double beam, double track, end beams, trolley tracks, walkways, railings, ladders, and other metal structures.

• The main beams and end beams are structured with the box-shape, made of Q235 or Q345 steel, with the minimum thickness no less than 6 mm.
• Main beam camber is (1 ~ 1.4) S / 1000, and the maximum camber position controlled within tenth of central span.
• Trolley tracks which lay on the bridge is a whole railway to ensure the smooth moving of the trolley, and the insulating devices is placed between the trolley tracks and trolley wheels to ensure the insulating features of the isolation crane.

3. Driver’s cabin

Driver’s cabin is a closed and tempered glass cabin, which is the workplace of crane operator, therefore the driver’s cabin has to be durable, safe and reliable, and at same time it should provide the driver a good vision and enough comfortableness. The features of driver’s cabin are as follow:

• Good vision, 270 ° viewing angle of the front range.
• Reliable quality and easy to be cleaned and maintained.
• High safety, cabin alarms, unobstructed walking and activity space, etc.

4. Crane traveling mechanism

The traveling mechanism of isolation crane: During operation, driving wheels never slip; when braking, it is steady and reliable.

5. Trolley parts

Main and auxiliary hoisting mechanisms of isolation crane have separate driving device, which can lift and handle loads independently and can coordinate to complete the work of turning loads over. Dual braking is used by the hoisting mechanism.

6. Isolation Crane Safety Protection Device

• Overload limiter is installed on the main crane hook, which has the functions of weight display, overload alarming, and automatic power off.
• Each mechanism is installed with closed electro-hydraulic brake while main lifting adopts dual brakes.
• Lifting limit switch, overcurrent protection, no-voltage protection, phase protection, zero protection, emergency switch, the main isolating switch, hatch door interlock switch, bells prompt and other safety devices to ensure the normal operation of cranes and related personnel personal safety.
• A few shock proof lamps can be installed under the bridge frame according to your needs.
